RODANCO began as an alternative support for inner-city young people of color who wished to enter into a secondary magnet or performing arts high school to further their dance training. Recognizing the financial burden of dance classes and lack of preparation, Founder/Director Ronderrick Mitchell helped to alleviate the cost to families by offering exclusive dance lessons at little to no cost and free audition coaching for prospective students. While offering these services, mentorship became a major foundation as dance training alone would not meet the needs of students progressing to the next level. Since 2009 RODANCO has been able to help young people realize their dreams by engaging in mentorship, quality dance training, and financial support.
